Herve Gourio

Herve Gourio (Non-Executive), was born in France and was CEO of Carlson Wagonlit Travel until July 2004. He started his career as a consultant for the French consulting group SEMA and subsequently as the chief executive of a French manufacturing company. In 1976 he became chief executive of Wagons-Lits Tourisme France and over the next 25 years [endIntro] would transform what was essentially a traditional French travel agency network with some interests abroad into a world scale travel management group with turnover well in excess of $20 billion and has overtaken American Express Travel to become the largest business travel company in the world.

Herve Gourio has for many years been the Managing Director of Enterprise et Progrès, one of the leading corporate / employers associations in France and his current activities also include consulting, particularly in the area of business services. Herve Gourio is a graduate of the Ecole Polytechnique.
